Hi Oliva,
I finally got onto your site. Great stuff. How is Damascus? We just hired an Arabist, John Chalcraft, as permanent CP staff. He says Cairo is much more interesting, but all Arabic students go off to Syria. There is something about those old monuments ... Wear warm socks!
